This Pretty Girls Pole  policy clarifies your rights and responsibilities as student and h learning is delivered digitally and recorded.  It makes similar arrangements to those for lecture recording on Zoom, Wix, Facetime or Google Meet.

How are virtual classes run? 

Your lecturers will discuss the digital teaching etiquette and expectations with you at the start of each course.

• A password is typically given (unless noted otherwise in confirmation). 

• Class doors open 5minutes prior to class beginning. It is possible that if you are late to class you may have to hang tight in the “waiting room” before being admitted into the room. 

• Not all virtual courses will involve stretches with instructors so arrive pre-stretched just in case.

Do we have to show names and faces?

 You, your lecturer and your fellow students should normally be identifiable by name during a virtual class. It is not required to show face, but it would aid in receiving feedback on your technique  if your instructor can see you. This is to help develop the academic community and keep the learning environment secure as well as supportive.

It can be helpful if you turn on your video feed when talking, but it’s not required.

What if I don’t want to be recorded? 

All participants that opt in Pretty Girls Pole virtual or in person classes should be aware (in)direct recording may be done without permission as all guest are prompted to sign liability & photography waiver release. 

If you don't want something you want to say during a class to be recorded, you can ask the lecturer to stop the recording before you speak.

If you do not want anything you say in a class to be recorded, you’re advised to let your lecturer know well in advance of the class.  Digital meetings with your personal instructor or student support team will never be recorded without written permission (e.g. by email) from you and everyone else in the meeting.

 

Is it just audio and video that’s recorded?

Both audio and video are recorded as well as text chat is also normally recorded on Zoom/ WIX and or Google Meet.  Your lecturer should be able to tell you whether the text chat is anonymous or not at the start of the class.  Your lecturer may in addition have access to a record of the attendance list and any polls taken during the class.

 

Can I make my own recording?

Due to copyright and exclusivity, it is illegal (digital piracy) to record a course, workshop or class (virtual or in person) without Pretty Girls Pole permission due to trade secrets, class/student identity protection as well as protecting cash tendered participants.

Replays are for sale when noted in class description. Any persons holding illegal Pretty Girls Pole recordings can be sued in the court of law.

What can I use recordings for? 

You may only use recordings of your teaching for your own personal study.  Any other use or wider sharing of a recording without permission is a breach of copyright law and the Pretty Girls Pole inc policy.
